About In
Hi, we're In Context.
Maybe you're a parent wondering how to best support your little one. Maybe you're a teenager figuring out how your brain works. Maybe you're an adult who's finally put a name to something you've felt for years, or maybe youβre a support coordinator who is supporting the parent & their child, the teenager, and the adult in the earlier sentences. Wherever you're starting from, you're welcome here.
Why we're called In Context
We were founded by a neurodivergent occupational therapist. The name comes from a time in her life when the choices she'd made suddenly made a lot more sense⦠with context. That's how we see everyone who walks through our door: the way you think, feel and do things makes sense once someone takes the time to understand your world.
What it's like to work with us
You can come as you are. There's no masking needed, no judgement, and no rushing. We set goals with you, not for you, and we go at your pace.
For kids, we follow their interests, keep things fun, and work closely with parents and carers. We can see them at home, at preschool or school, or by telehealth. For teens and adults, we'll work around what suits you, whether that's in person, telehealth, written summaries or a bit of extra time. Just tell us what helps.
The people you'll meet
Our occupational therapists, social worker, physiotherapist and ADHD coaches are neuroaffirming and trauma informed. They bring experience across mental health, the NDIS and workplace rehabilitation. Our occupational therapists are Ahpra registered, and our clinical leadership has overseen NDIS and SIRA accreditation and quality frameworks. So behind every friendly chat is care you can trust.
What we value
β’ Context first: we look at the whole picture before we act. β’ Neuroaffirming, always: difference isn't a deficit, and support should never feel like being fixed. β’ Joined up: we work with the people already in your corner. β’ Honest and clear: plain language and no overpromising. β’ Care for those who care: we look after the families, support workers and clinicians doing the everyday work.
A bit about our founder
She's spent more than a decade in community services, starting in frontline support work, and mental health OT is where her heart is. Outside of work, you'll find her watching and playing football. She backs Manchester United, and the Wests Tigers in the NRL (so she's had plenty of practice focusing on the bigger picture)
