What is School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)?
In plain English
Time limited capacity building support that helps students in their last years of school move towards work.
SLES bridges the gap between school and employment for young people with disability, usually for up to two years after finishing year 12. It builds work readiness through things like skills training, work experience and travel training. The aim is a genuine pathway into a job or further training, tailored to the young person’s goals. It sits in the capacity building part of a plan.
