What is Access Request?

In plain English

The form you submit to the NDIA to apply for the NDIS. It asks for details about your disability and how it affects your everyday life.

An access request is how you formally ask to become an NDIS participant. You can start it by calling the NDIA, completing the form, or asking a Local Area Coordinator to help. You will usually need supporting evidence from a doctor or specialist that describes your disability and its impact. The clearer and stronger that evidence is, the smoother the access decision tends to be.
