What is Service Booking?
In plain English
A record in the NDIS system that sets aside part of an agency managed participant’s funding for a particular provider.
For agency managed plans, a service booking reserves an amount of funding with a provider so they can claim payment as they deliver support. It reflects what you and the provider agreed in your service agreement. Under the newer PACE system, service bookings have largely been replaced by naming providers as your my providers, but you may still hear the term. Plan managed and self managed participants do not need service bookings.
