A specialist support coordinator is a higher level of support coordination for participants whose situation is especially complex. They help when standard coordination is not enough, often where there are crisis, health, housing or justice issues alongside disability. This support is only funded when there is a clear reason for it. The aim is to stabilise the situation and build a workable plan.
