What is Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)?

Funding for the physical home itself, purpose built or modified, for a small number of participants with very high or complex support needs.
SDA pays for the bricks and mortar, not the support inside. It is for a small share of participants whose disability means they need specially designed or modified housing, for example fully wheelchair accessible or robust construction. SDA is assessed separately and the eligibility is strict, so it must be listed in your plan. Many people with SDA also receive SIL, which funds the day to day support in that home.
