What is Registered Provider?
In plain English
A provider who has gone through the NDIS Commission registration process. Required to support NDIA-managed participants. Roughly 17,000 services are NDIS registered.
A registered provider has been through the NDIS Commission registration process, which includes audits against quality and safety standards. Registration is required to support NDIA-managed participants. Registered providers are often larger organisations, and the cost of registration can mean higher hourly rates. Registration is a useful signal, but it is not the only measure of quality, and many excellent providers choose not to register.
