Support at Home, the short version

Support at Home is the government program that pays for aged care at home. It starts with an aged care assessment through My Aged Care: apply online at myagedcare.gov.au or call 1800 200 422. If your parent is approved, they may wait for funding, then choose one registered provider and pay a contribution towards some services, depending on their income and assets.

You can also pay a provider privately at any time, including while you wait for funding.
