What is Exercise Physiology?

In plain English

Therapy that uses tailored exercise to improve health, function and independence for people with disability or chronic conditions.

Exercise physiologists design safe, individual exercise programs for people managing disability, injury or chronic health conditions. Unlike a general personal trainer, they are university qualified allied health professionals who can work with complex needs. On the NDIS their work often builds the physical capacity that makes other goals, like community participation or employment, achievable.
