What is Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC)?

In plain English

NDIS grants that fund community organisations to make the whole community more inclusive, available to people whether or not they have a plan.

ILC is the part of the scheme that invests in community rather than individual plans. It funds projects that build the capacity of mainstream services, connect people to information and peer support, and promote inclusion. You do not need to be an NDIS participant to benefit from many ILC funded services. It is a reminder that not every support has to come from an individual budget.
