Many of the best value providers on the NDIS are sole traders: one person operating under their own Australian Business Number. They can be unregistered or registered, and self managed and plan managed participants can use them freely. Working with a sole trader often means a consistent worker, more flexibility and lower overheads. It is reasonable to ask to see their ABN, insurance and any relevant checks.
