BlueRock Healthcare exists for the moments when support needs to be more than ordinary. We are a clinically led NDIS provider specialising in complex presentations and higher-support needs. We work alongside people whose circumstances often require more coordination, greater clinical understanding and a team that is prepared to look beyond the obvious. Our approach is grounded in clinical knowledge, practical experience and genuine human connection. We bring together healthcare professionals, experienced support staff and people with lived experience to provide support that is considered, consistent and responsive to what is actually happening in a person’s life. Whether we are supporting someone to transition home from hospital, navigate a change in living arrangements, access appropriate accommodation, manage complex health needs or simply build greater independence in everyday life, we focus on what will make a meaningful and sustainable difference. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all care. We take the time to understand the circumstances, identify what is getting in the way and work with the right people and services to create a practical pathway forward. BlueRock is built on the belief that good support requires both capability and heart. It means being dependable when things become complicated, advocating when something isn't working, communicating when it matters and treating every person with dignity, honesty and respect. We are here to do more than deliver supports. We are here to help create better outcomes, stronger pathways and greater possibilities for the people we support. That is BlueRock Healthcare.

We started By Your Side because we saw a gap in the industry. Too many families weren’t getting the care, and the love, that they deserve. Support can feel rushed, impersonal and focused on ticking boxes, and we wanted to do it differently. At By Your Side, we’re all about activity-based supports. We’d rather be out walking to the shops, trying something new, playing a game or cooking together than just sitting and passing time. Those everyday moments are where confidence grows, and they’re a lot more fun. We work alongside you and your family, not over you. We follow your goals, let you choose, and gently encourage you to have a go yourself. We offer community access, personal care at home, domestic assistance and transport, all at a relaxed pace that suits you. We’re a new, small service, and we’re upfront about that. It means you’ll get to know the person supporting you, and we’ll always be honest about what we can and can’t help with. Our support workers hold a Working With Children Check, an NDIS Worker Screening Check, the NDIS Worker Orientation Module and a First Aid & CPR certificate, and we carry public liability and professional indemnity insurance. If you’d like a chat first, we’d love to hear from you.

Finding support workers in Melbourne
Support workers in Melbourne help with personal care, getting ready for the day, meals, shopping, appointments, community activities and building everyday skills. Some work for registered providers with a roster of staff behind them, while others work for smaller unregistered businesses that can be more flexible about hours.
Melbourne spreads a long way, from the inner suburbs to the growth areas in the north, west and south east, so travel matters. When you compare workers, check that they already work in your suburb, how they get around, and whether they can drive you if you need help getting to appointments or activities.
Be clear about the regular days and times you need when you first get in touch, especially for evenings, weekends or early mornings, because that is what providers plan their rosters around.

What a support worker costs under the NDIS
Support workers are usually paid from your Core budget for help with daily life. For 2026/27 the standard weekday daytime price limit for self care support is $73.58 an hour in most of Australia, from 1 July 2026. Evenings, weekends, public holidays and remote areas have higher limits.
Price limits are a ceiling, not a set rate. If your plan is agency managed or plan managed, providers are paid within them. If you self manage, you are not strictly bound by them, but they are a useful benchmark when you compare quotes.
Two changes are worth knowing. From 1 October 2026, budgets for social, economic and community participation are reduced by 50% when a plan is created, reassessed or renewed, while help in your home is not affected. And the government is consulting on lower prices for some supports from unregistered providers from 1 January 2027.

Common questions
Can a Melbourne support worker drive me to appointments?
Many can, using their own car or yours. Ask how they charge for kilometres and travel time, and agree on it in your service agreement before support starts. Transport funding in your plan may cover some trips.
What is the difference between a registered and an unregistered provider?
Registered providers have been through the NDIS Commission registration and audit process, and they are the only option if your plan is agency managed. Unregistered providers have not, but self managed and plan managed participants can use them. Whoever you choose, ask whether their workers hold an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
What does a support worker cost in Melbourne?
The NDIS sets price limits rather than fixed prices. For 2026/27 the weekday daytime limit for self care support is $73.58 an hour in most of Australia, and Melbourne uses that standard limit. Evening, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday support has higher limits.
Does it cost anything to use Supportd?
No. Searching, contacting providers and the matching service are free for participants and families. Supportd takes no commission from your NDIS plan and never sells your details. It is funded by provider subscriptions.
