Hi there, my name is Ruby. I am a disability support worker with over five years of experience providing support in a range of settings, including day centres, community environments, and most extensively through one-on-one support in people’s homes. I have experience and confidence supporting people with disability, chronic illness, and mental health challenges, and I am affirming and experienced in supporting people from the LGBTIQ+ community. My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, and grounded in respect, dignity, and choice. I am kind, patient, and non-judgemental, and I place strong importance on building trusting, collaborative support relationships.
