JeonsaREGISTERED PROVIDERAVAILABLE

Jeonsa is a small, family-run registered NDIS provider based in and proudly servicing the Hawkesbury, Greater Western Sydney and the Lower Blue Mountains. We are not a large company, and we do not want to be. We deliberately keep our service personal so we genuinely know the people we support, their families, routines, risks, goals and what matters to them. Management remains closely involved, and families can speak directly with people who actually know their loved one. Youโ€™ll get the personal relationship of a small provider, with the safeguards and accountability of a registered organisation behind you. Our workers are screened, trained and supported. If a regular worker is unavailable, there is a team behind them rather than leaving you without support. We support children and adults with autism, intellectual disability, neurological and cognitive conditions, behaviours of concern and more complex needs. Supports include personal care, daily living, community access, respite, medication assistance and behaviour support plan implementation, with nursing oversight available where required. Many of our participants need more than someone to simply fill a shift. They need familiar workers, careful observation and a provider that notices when something changes and follows it through. At Jeonsa, you are not a roster number. You are known, supported and cared for by a small team that takes responsibility for the quality of your support.

Ruby-Rose LaginhaINDEPENDENT WORKERAVAILABLE

Hi there, my name is Ruby. I am a disability support worker with over five years of experience providing support in a range of settings, including day centres, community environments, and most extensively through one-on-one support in peopleโ€™s homes. I have experience and confidence supporting people with disability, chronic illness, and mental health challenges, and I am affirming and experienced in supporting people from the LGBTIQ+ community. My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive, and grounded in respect, dignity, and choice. I am kind, patient, and non-judgemental, and I place strong importance on building trusting, collaborative support relationships. I work in inclusive and reflective ways, with an awareness of how ableism and other barriers can show up in support settings. I aim to provide support that respects autonomy, reduces power imbalances, and centres each personโ€™s voice and preferences. I am committed to ongoing learning and growth in my practice. Alongside my professional experience, I also bring lived experience of illness and disability, which informs my empathy and approach to respectful support. I genuinely enjoy supporting people to live the lives they choose and aim to be someone they feel safe, comfortable, and respected working alongside. Outside of work, I enjoy the ocean, nature, games, and reading.

Finding SIL providers in Sydney

Supported Independent Living, or SIL, is the paid support you get inside your home when you need help for most of the day, or around the clock. It covers personal care, meals, medication and the running of the household, and in Sydney it is often delivered in a shared home with a small number of housemates.

Sydney is big enough that a provider described as Sydney based may only support people in one region. Before you shortlist anyone, check the suburbs they actually work in using the list on this page, and think about what the home needs to be close to: family, a day program, work, or the hospital and specialists you already see.

Since 1 July 2026 every SIL provider has to be registered with the NDIS Commission, which makes registration the first question to ask. After that, the questions that matter most are about the house and the people: who the housemates are, how staffing works overnight, and whether you can visit before you decide.

Who is listed for Sydney

These 10 providers currently list this service for Sydney on Supportd. Each name opens the full profile, where you can read about them and send a free enquiry.

What else providers here offer

Services the providers listed for Sydney also offer, with how many offer each. Handy if you would rather one team handled several supports.

How SIL is funded under the NDIS

SIL is funded individually in your plan, based on how much support you need across the day and night and whether that support is shared with housemates. It pays for the support inside the home, not the home itself. Rent, food and household bills are generally paid by the person living there.

Since 1 July 2026 SIL providers must be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission under registration group 0138. Providers who were already delivering SIL had to apply by 1 October 2026 to keep going while their application is assessed, and plan managers have been told to only pay SIL invoices from providers who are registered or have applied.

Common questions

How do I find a SIL vacancy in Sydney?

Contact the providers on this page and ask each one whether they have a room available, which suburb the home is in and who already lives there. Some providers also list current vacancies on their Supportd profile. If you would rather not ring around, request a free match and our team will check with providers for you.

Do SIL providers in Sydney have to be registered?

Yes. Since 1 July 2026 SIL providers must be registered with the NDIS Commission. Providers who were already delivering SIL had to apply for registration by 1 October 2026 to keep going while their application is assessed. It is a fair question to ask, and a good provider will answer it straight away.

Is SIL the same as SDA?

No. SIL pays for the support inside the home. SDA, or Specialist Disability Accommodation, pays for a specially designed home and is only for people with SDA in their plan. Many people who live in SDA also receive SIL, often from a different provider.

Can I visit a SIL home before I agree to move in?

You should. Ask to visit at an ordinary time of day, meet the staff who would support you and, where they are comfortable with it, the people you would live with. A short trial stay is also worth asking about.

Does it cost anything to use Supportd?

No. Searching, contacting providers and the matching service are free for participants and families. Supportd takes no commission from your NDIS plan and never sells your details. It is funded by provider subscriptions.
