Chermside is the main hub of Brisbane's north side, home to Westfield Chermside and The Prince Charles Hospital, with frequent buses along Gympie Road into the city.

Since 1 July 2026 SIL providers must be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission under registration group 0138. Providers who were already delivering SIL had to apply by 1 October 2026 to keep going while their application is assessed, and plan managers have been told to only pay SIL invoices from providers who are registered or have applied.
